Dhaniakhali Saree, a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bengal, is named after its place of origin, Dhaniakhali in Hooghly district. About 900 skilled weavers and 1,000 ancillary artisans in Hooghly district are engaged in the production this traditional handloom saree.
